WHAT’S THE STORY?
Like all hilarious Minions and Despicable Me movies, Minions & Monsters is filled with pure chaos and we are super excited about this! Grab your popcorn, settle in and get ready to find out how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.
A NEW TRIO
The main Minions in this movie are Henry, James and Ed. Henry’s the one with two blue eyes and wavy hair, James has one blue eye and is about the same size as Bob, and Ed gives Otto vibes but with a mohawk!
MEET THE MONSTERS
Keep your eyes peeled for:
- Goomi, a monster summoned by the Minions from a magical spellbook
- A fish monster

- An ooze monster with hundreds of eyes

MAKE A MONSTER MOVIE
Feeling inspired to make your own Hollywood blockbuster, complete with creepy creatures? Just follow the steps below.
STEP 1: WRITE THE SCRIPT
You’ll need to decide three major things:
- A setting (this is where your movie takes place)
- Characters (what monsters are in the movie)
- The plot (what happens in the beginning, middle and end)
STEP 2: CASTING + COSTUMES
When you’ve figured out the script, you’ll then need to write lines for each of your characters and ask your friends and family to play them! For costumes, use dress-ups you have at home to create costumes. For monsters, you can also use sheets, blankets and towels, or decorate cardboard boxes with scales, spots and spikes.
STEP 3: REHEARSE
Give everyone a copy of their lines so they can practise dressing, speaking, moving, eating and reacting like their monsters.
STEP 4: SORT YOUR TECH
Get ready for filming. You could use a smart phone, tablet or digital camera that records.
STEP 5: START ROLLING
Press record and away you go! Don’t worry if someone makes a mistake – bloopers are hilarious!
